Who is the American Top Team?
Years ago Ricardo Liborio, respectively, the late Carlson Gracie's
most
technical Black Belt, along with partners started the
Brazilian Top Team in
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Under the
Brazilian Top Team, Liborio trained the
likes of Murillo
Bustamante (former Ultimate Fighting Championship
middleweight champion) and Vitor Belfort (former UFC light- |

heavyweight
champion) as well as many other notable sports
BJJ and mixed martial arts
competitors.
However, 7 years ago Liborio moved to the United States in order
to manifest
his teaching and training methods.

Liborio united with long time friends Marcelo Silveira and Conan Silveira,
formerly known as Silveira Brothers Jiu-jitsu, to start the American Top
Team. Since then, the American Top Team has acquired several training
facilities in Florida and scattered throughout the
United States with the main headquarters being in Coconut Creek, Fl.
American Top Team is home to notable fighters such as UFC welterweight
stars, Thiago Alves and Ben Saunders, Former WEC Featherweight Champion,
Mike Brown, Bellator Middleweight Champion, Hector Lombard as well as
countless other phenomenal fighters. American Top Team is considered in the
industry as one of the largest and most successful MMA teams in the world.
